Luisito currently leads the groundbreaking band  Moda Eterna, a 12 piece band created as a tribute to Ray Barreto and that has solidly earned the reputation as one of the best salsa bands in Toronto. Moda Eterna plays classic salsa that has withstood different eras.

Luisito also co-leads Lula All Stars a high energy salsa big band, with the elite of the salsa scene.  Uniquely-Canadian version of “salsa dura,” influenced by beloved, classic Fania recordings, traditional Cuban son, contemporary timba and tropical dance movements from Colombia and Venezuela.

In 2015 Luis created and performed the score for PUSH, a theatre piece that traces the history of Paralympic competition from 1944, weaving through six athletes’ individual journeys to paint an exceptionally diverse picture of what it is to be a world-class athlete. It was produced and presented  as part of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games arts and culture festival, PANAMANIA.
